do you feel how christmas peeking around the corner? i love this time of year – although i do not like the cold and dark days, i love the preparation and anticipation of the wonderful christmas celebrations. i hope to have enough time to rejoice my belloved peoples with cards. 😀
card, which i will show you in a moment, i made for a teacher of my little boy. Boromir attended kindergarten for the first time this year, and we are very excited! last week the teacher gave my son’s badge with honor ‘excellent student in all throughout the week’. you can imagine how proud i felt! so, i decided that i would mace something really special for both teachers of my kid. today i will show you the first card. i was inspired by the beautiful sketch of ‘whiff of joy`.
for my card i used one of my most favorite stamps – `willow reading a story`, and here what i got:
i adore this image!i hope the teachers of Boromir to be pleasantly surprised. 😀 here is some more pictures and details
i colored the image with `derwent coloursoft pencils`. i used `brushing` ‘technique of mixing colors (i ve polished every detail of the image with the light color of the respective colors), then i fixed colors with baby oil. i ve cut out a framework of kraft paper around the image, and put white acrylic paint to create a frosted effect.
beautiful papers that i used for my background are `dovecraft` and `papermania`. i make some hand stitching and then play with my border punches. beautiful flowers are from my stash (:D i can not imagine any card without flowers ). i found this lovely lace in local hardware. i created pearl hat-pins to match the flower bouquet and paper.
i hope you like my humble creationq dear visitors of my virtual home:)!
